Is the registration of the free edition email address specific in any way?
I ask as I am due within the next few days to re-register for the incoming year…just at the same time as I about to migrate to a different ISP, with the resultant change of email address, IP number etc.
Will this confuse the registration process ?
I believe you don’t have to enter your email address when re-registering the free version (only the first registration) using the avast user interface. I have just re-registered my free version (2 days ago) on my other system and I can’t recall having to enter any details or email.
That said even if you have to enter an email address you aren’t forced to use the previous email address you can select a new one.
