Why would “Error: Reached the end of the file. (38)” come up in “Scan Results” for a install program stored for ASUS LAN driver? I had other files with the same Error, but simply deleted those.
Unsupported, or possibly truncated archive file - i.e. nothing to worry about.

Is the only way around this is to add it to the “Global Exclusions” file path?
Well, you can set your report/log settings for only “infected” files, removing the “hard errors” from them ![]()

I’ve looked through every option under account and settings and can’t find the option you’re referring to? Maybe not included in the Avast 8 Free antivirus?
In the avastUI > Antivirus > Scan Now, scan More details > Settings > Report file, see image (click to expand).
That setting, however, affects the report file… not sure if it has any effect on the results window.
