ReactOS a.k.a. "free XP" ??

The ReactOS® project is dedicated to making Free Software available to everyone by providing a ground-up implementation of a Microsoft Windows® XP compatible operating system. ReactOS aims to achieve complete binary compatibility with both applications and device drivers meant for NT and XP operating systems, by using a similar architecture and providing a complete and equivalent public interface.

This one looks very interesting. Does anybody know anything more about it?

At least they could come up with their own GUI and not completely rip off Windows graphical usert interface… and worst of all, they didn’t go with some nice interface (that doesn’t necessary mean some Windows XP styled GUI), they totally copied ugly 90’s Win98 look.

Just my 21 cents…

Biggest problem is that it’s not NTFS compatible.
Actually NTFS is MS copyright protected software and can’t legally be used
unless you have a legal copy of Windows. To me that in itself makes compatibility
impossible.

So you use FAT32. It’s not on par with NTFS but still works quiet well… (although i don’t like it too much)
