Read Receipts on Outlook 2003 marked as spam

All read receipts are marked as spam and moved to the ‘junk’ folder on any of my client machines. The machine I’m looking at specifically today is running window XP and is running Avast! Endpoint Protection Suite Plus 7.0.1455. I am looking for a way to have these message delivered to the inbox and not marked as spam, can anyone please point me in the right direction?

Still haven’t resolved this issue. Has anyone else out there had anything similar happen?

The read receipts, which are in the spam folder, don’t even activate (the button stays grayed out) the “whitelist” button on the outlook avast! anti-spam toolbar so that’s not an option. I have multiple clients that are complaining and I can’t find any resolution.

Please if you have any suggestions, even far fetched ones, please share as I’m basically willing to try anything at this point (short of turning avast off). I hope someone out there can help, thanks!
