Have (or did) you another Anti-Virus installed in this system, if so what was it and how did you get rid of it ?
What Operating System are you using ?
What other security based software do you have installed ?
Have (or did) you another Anti-Virus installed in this system, if so what was it and how did you get rid of it ? i have windows defender but it’s turned off, i only use avast interet security as my antivirus, firewall, etc.
What Operating System are you using ? windows 7 ultimate
What other security based software do you have installed ? none, i’m only using avast
Well Windows Defender shouldn’t get in the way like this (although I don’t use it).
So you have ‘never’ had any other antivirus installed ‘before’ on this system ?
Did you have avast 4.8 on this system before installing AIS ?
If so it would probably be best to do a clean reinstall:
-
Download the latest version of avast AIS, 5.0.545 http://files.avast.com/iavs5x/setup_ais.exe and save it to your HDD, somewhere you can find it again (if you didn’t save your last download). Use that when you reinstall.
-
Download the avast! Uninstall Utility, aswClear5.exe find it here and save it to your HDD (it has uninstall tools for both 4.8 and 5.0).
-
- Now uninstall (using add remove programs, if you can’t do that start from the next step), reboot.- 2. run the avast! Uninstall Utility from safe mode, first for 4.8 if previously installed and then for 5.0, once complete reboot into normal mode.- 3. install the latest version, reboot.
thanks for the help, i’ll gonna do what you said. i’ll send a respond here if this worked :)) thanks again !!
No problem, glad I could help.
Welcome to the forums.
i didn’t do what you said, i looked again at windows defender and firewall, and they are all turned on, so i turned it off now. then i restarted my laptop and then, the avast real time shield are now turned on automatically… haha … i thought my windows defender and firewall are turned off… thanks anyway !!!
Well in that case look at the windows defender area for new startup entries as that may be blocking something.
yeah …that is also what i think …
I keep Windows Defender up to date by going to its portal:
