Really need help with a .jar file.

So I downloaded a game that ran on java, which worked fine for a few weeks, and now all of a sudden, When I try to run it, the loading screen open for about a quarter second and then it closes. Avast then says it saved me from a virus, but I’m 100% sure the file is not a virus. I tried adding it to my exclusions list but nothing happened. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
