So, today I downloaded the trial version of avast and I ran a full computer scan. Avast found 1 threat, (I can’t post exactly what it said as I can’t use my computer at this time. I will post the full name of it and where it came from tomorrow.) but it said something about a “REALTEK wireless lan utility”, and said it was a rootkit. I deleted this from my computer. Was it a false positive? Am I completely safe if Avast deleted it? Once again, i’m sorry I can’t say exactly where it came from on my computer or what exactly it was called but I will tomorrow as I took a screenshot. Help would be greatly appreciated.
