Hi, I am a user of avast for years. I am giving you a link to see the rating of av test, in which avast stood in the top. It is real that the free version itself gives this protection. Kudos to avast team.

As far as I know, this is the first time that Avast is above Kaspersky, Bitdefender and Avira.
