Hello ~
I didn’t know where else to turn to get this question answered. Recently I started receiving spam-emails from someone I corresponded with about a job I was hiring for. The spams are ads for various websites, and usually involve a description of some kind of “kit” to buy. I have never gone to the links in the emails, and I have, on more than one occasion, emailed him in a fresh email, suggested that he scan his computer for adware or spyware. He wrote back and said he had heard this from other people in his address book and would look into it.
Meanwhile, I filtered his address with my gmail account, thinking that would work to automatically delete any email coming in to my inbox from his address. But this has not stopped the spams, and today, I got THREE OF THEM! The latest one said, “Hello there, How are you? A day ago I have checked out this news story about a girl earning a ton of money on the internet and I have started doing what she does. Please have a read and tell me when you get your kit so I can help you a little bit. Click http://news7dkji.com/?article=954586 See you soon”
I am wondering if my computer might now be infected with something? Does anyone have advice on what I should do? Why wouldn’t the gmail filter keep his email address out of my inbox? I have run my avast internet security, but it comes out clean.
Any help would be appreciated!
Liza
