Receiving spam into email address known only to Avast!!

I am receiving pornographic spam into an email address that has only ever been used to contact Avast. I can do this because I own the domain, and I use an email address within the domain to identify every enterprise that I communicate with. For example, to communicate with Avast I use the email address “avast@mydomain.com

This means that the email address must have come from Avast - in other words Avast has been compromised!!

I am posting here because after a long time searching the Avast site I can find no way to contact the webmaster or anyone to whom I can complain.

Dictionary programs (brute force programs) are the third means to get spam target addresses. Just like hacker programs, these products will generate alphabetic/numeric combinations of addresses in sequence. While many of the results are incorrect, these dictionary programs can create hundreds of thousands of addresses per hour, guaranteeing that at least some will work as targets for spam.

That simply won’t do as an explanation!

I use the system of unique email addresses within my domain to identify leaks - and this is certainly what happened at Avast.
I have done research and found that hundreds of thousands of email addresses were compromised in May 2014.
Why the delay before I was spammed is a mystery to me, but the source was without doubt Avast.

Incidentally, the Captcha used when posting to this forum is ridiculous - trying to stop bots, it stops humans!

The Captcha is only for your first 3 posts. To try and stop bots it has to be hard, unfortunately for humans it is also hard (but only for the first 3 posts).
