I have had 3 people download avast via the required link 3 days ago and it still shows 0 friends using it. the system says it only takes a few hours to show up. Any idea why it is not working? I don’t want to waste my time rounding up 4 more friends if it is not working. Do you think this is something I should open a ticket with avast?
Whilst it says it may take a few hours, some have found it takes longer and there has been a problem with the backend server (which I think has been fixed).
However, simply downloading isn’t enough, they have to install it and register it ?
Only then would it be notified to your account and at that point is when any possible delay would start.

Well, I had 1 person register that day on 10/25/13 and now it is 10/30/13 and still it shows 0 recommendations. I’m servery disappointed in their recommendation system. I will NOT be recommending avast to anyone since it is a HUGE waste of time.
I don’t understand why this is the case, but I like yourself am an avast user not employee of avast.
The main point in recommending avast is for the protection that it gives (for your friends, etc.), not just to seek reward surely.
I have been using avast for over 9 years and have recommended it to many, but I haven’t used this recommend function since it was introduced, I just tell them where to get avast.
