I connected my 500gb WD hd to my desktop and Avast warned of Trojan Virus, “stopped before it was opened.” Great save. But now I can’t read the files on my hard drive. How can I recover. Nothing in the virus chest. I don’t see a way to access log, although log files are mentioned to include in support package. It said trojan horse or trojan. I am running a full system scan with the hd connected. Could not locate an option to scan ext hd alone so let’s wait and see. The other problem is although I resgistered it still pops up an illegal version warning.

what file was detected…and malware name?
anything in avast chest?
avast log?
Have you allowed Avast to scan the entire Hard drive ?
