So I was playing a game and avast sugguested that I open it in safe mode I complied, 9 hours later the game crashed and the save files were lost is there a way to recovers those files?
Avast suggested you open a game in safe mode?
Strange, as that would prevent Avast from running in the first place.
Are you sure the save files were lost? Do you know where to look for them? They might have been corrupted by the crash (I’d check for game updates or video card driver updates to fix that), but if they really were deleted, I’d suggest a recovery tool like http://www.piriform.com/recuva
I believe the OP means open the game in the autosandbox, not safe mode.
So as far as I’m aware there is no way to recover files from the sandbox.
My appoligies I do mean sandbox not safe mode.
Unfortunately for you everything is contained in the sandbox isolated from the system so when the system crashed (or if you closed the program I believe everything is wiped).
The file system shield scans the program and depending on certain circumstances (not digitally signed, emulation, location of the file, etc.) then it will hand it off to the autosandbox with the recommendation to run sandboxed.
If you are happy that the file/game is legit, clean, from a good download source, etc. then you can elect to run it normally and check the Remember my decision for this program.
