If there’s just one file in the Recycle Bin, why does Avast show it with a weird file name? . . . or, with a weird file name in the Scan History?
I recently started using NirCmd’s “moverecyclebin” for something. Could that have messed up my Recycle Bin, and I’m seeing that through Avast?
I get file name like “$R0RMREP” after the latest update too, so your Recycle Bin isn’t messed up. (Well, beyond Avast doing that).

That “weird” name is the actual name the deleted file is stored with in the Recycle Bin.
I believe the code has already been changed (not to show it), so I think you won’t see it in the next version of Avast (at least in the context menu, not sure about the History).
Yes, it’s due to something with Avast . . . I have Avast on a laptop that does not use NirCmd for anything, and it has the weird file name, also.
+1

Are you saying you will be removing the Scan item from the Recycle Bin altogether?
