Red box in the right corner of the screen

Hi Everybody,

everytime I switch my computer on a red box with the following text appears (instead or after the blue one):

You are using an old VPS file (virus data base): 000777-0, please, update the base!!

When I left-click on it, it says:

Information about the current update.
Total time: 9s
Vps: it’s already updated (current version 000777-0)
Net server download905avast.com (216.12.217.114)
Dowloaded files 3 (0,03 KB)
Download time 2s

It looks as if it had been solved but everytime I switch on my computer it appears again. First time it happened was five days ago.

P.D. I’m translating from Spanish so maybe the text is not exactly like that, sorry.

My avast version is Avast profesional, the last one and I have Windows XP.

Check your system time and date. Especially the date.

Well you are using the latest VPS, so as oldman says this is likely to be the system date incorrect. This happens a lot with people using its calendar function to check a date in the future and forget to reset it back to today’s date when they finished.
