Hi malware fighters,
Redirects are not good for your security, let’s not quarrel over that issue. There is an extension that can help: redirect remover. Do not expect miracles here, because there are various ways to circumvent it, but I think it can be helpful. Go get it here: http://redirectremover.mozdev.org/
You can put it on the URL bar (through Customize), and click to set it on and off
Don’t believe, go to the test page: http://redirectremover.mozdev.org/rdrtestpage.html
Read further on the extension here: http://www.freakitude.com/2006/11/07/redirect-remover-firefox-extension/
Because you can bypass certain webproxies with this add-on, it has been placed in the sand-box on the official add-on page of Mozilla’s. But I think it is well worth to test it.

I’ll give it a try… I’ll post the results after testing and daily browsing a little.
Thanks Polonus.
Hi Tech,
You see a searchengine isn’t human, for that reason the re-direct discrepancies (301 errors). Just to get a grasp of the problem, use this: http://ekstreme.com/deeplinkratio/ and put in a given domain name (without the www, that is being put there automatically).

Hi Tech,
I have tested RDR now for some time, and normally you can have it on the toolbar disabled. If left enabled some redirects to other domain names or deep redirects can give problems. Under certain circumstances it is nice to have it just sitting there at just one click away, when your on “untrodden” ground.

Polonus, it’s there but I don’t see it acting, doing nothing…
I’m not sure I’m visiting the proper sites to test it… Maybe I’m not redirected to nowhere
