Reformatting and going to dual boot

Hello,

I have Avast Premium (1 device subscription) and also VPN. I need to reformat and dual boot to 2 different versions of Windows (they will be on the same old hardware). I have 2 questions about the registration.

1. Do I really need to uninstall Avast before I reinstall it on the new partitions?

2. Will my subscription work for both versions of Windows, or is that considered 2 devices?
