I have submitted 3 separate tickets trying to get a refund. I have called technical support and billing, both of which were (of course) no help, and quite rude. I have been trying to get a refund for 16 days!! avast customer service is abysmal. What do I have to do to get someone to respond to me and give me a refund already?!?

I don’t know why you haven’t received a response from the support tickets, but submitting multiple tickets may have slowed things.
You can try the on-line contact form, http://www.avast.com/contact-form.php?loadStyles: to Sales, give as much information as possible, Receipt/Invoice reference number, date of purchase, email address used when you purchased the license.
You could also give the support ticket reference.
Not sure what ‘technical’ support you contacted, but if it is the free call number that is a 3rd party support (not avast) dealing with program problems and aren’t going to be able to deal with sales/refund issues.

Thanks David. I only submitted additional tickets after waiting 16 days for a response to my first ticket. The person I spoke to the first time in technical support said it would take 2 days for a response. So after 16 days, I decided to try again. I did include all the pertinent information, but never got a reply, hence my additional attempts, and finally my post here in the forum.
I did call technical support because it was the only number available. I spoke to someone who told me to submit my ticket. I didn’t know then that I shouldn’t call that number for help with this, but that was the only one I had. They advised me to go through the ticket system, which I did, but that hasn’t worked either. I was also transferred to someone in the US billing department (I think it was for the business or total system) who was extremely rude and unprofessional. I feel like I’ve exhausted my options at this point…It really shouldn’t be this difficult to just get a refund.
I will go try the contact link that you gave me. Hopefully either that or this forum can finally help me resolve this.

I agree it shouldn’t be that difficult to get a refund, nor should there be any reason for being rude.

The first ticket id is #BDJ-364-59862. The other two are basically just reiterations of the first, and more recent, so they aren’t as important. But that first one is from 17 days ago, so I’m really irked by the amount of time it takes to just get a response. I’m less concerned with getting a response to the ticket and more concerned with just getting the refund I’m requesting. If we can just skip straight to the refund part, I can give you my order number/date of purchase to expedite things.
