My current Avast Free AV shows it will expire on 09/04/17 … so does this mean it will renew itself or do we still do it the way we used to when the license for the free version expires ?
Given what it says on the avast web site (and my previous attached image) - Newer versions of Avast Free Antivirus will no longer ask you to register, and older versions will keep working even after they’ve “expired”.
I think it is fairly clear, older versions will keep working even after they expire. So I guess you will have to wait and see or try a clean reinstall.
