registration key *drops after a few weeks

I told my roommate about how great avast is so she downloaded it. It works okay but every couple of months she is asked for a new registration key. We are using the same router for dsl. Could that be the problem or something else?

Is the system clock set correctly? (e.g. isn’t the Year part set to 2005)?

Thanks for the reply. I checked the clock and it is correctly set for today’s date, year and time.

Does she registered it first or she was just using the Trial version?
