A couple of months ago I renewed my registration key. I wasn’t pretty sure it hadn’t been long since I got the last one, but I renewed it anyway.
Today I got a message that I will have to renew it again soon. I just checked, and my key expires on the 1st April.
I thought these things lasted 12 months? They only seem to be lasting a few months.
The date and time on my computer are OK, by the way.

Yes, the thought that this might be an April Fool’s joke did cross my mind briefly. 
I think it was some kind of mistake in key generation, if I was you I just registered it once again, to see if I’ll get the same result with the new key recieved.
Yup, that’s hardly a problem. But if this is happening to other users, it may put them off using the program.

I’m sure it won’t be good for customer satisfaction if people find they have to keep updating their licenses every two months!
Weird!
I just noticed that the registration key in About avast! was not the one I obtained and entered in January this year. I re-entered that key, and now my updates are good to 2007, not April 1 this year.
What could have caused the key to change?
I’m using avast! Home here, so I haven’t been entering any dodgy crack keys or anything! 8)
