Hello,

Try going to “http://www.avast.com/i_kat_207.php?lang=ENG
and registering with a web email address (ex. yahoo or hotmail) that are free and even if you don’t have one you could set it up in a couple of minuets. That will take care of the firewall problem. As for avast.com loading a blank page… I can’t help you there, it works fine for me, are you sure your connection is OK?

See the tutorial: http://www.avast.com/files/tutorials/insert_key.htm
Please take a look here: http://www.avast.com/eng/i_was_successfully_r.html

Hope this helps…

Firewalls don’t eat emails unless they come with anti-spam plug-ins, what is your firewall ?
Do you have an anti-spam program installed ?

ISPs often have automated anti-spam filters/programs, ensure if you are allowed to configure it that it allows email from avast.com.

You may well have some malware already installed on your system refer to my reply on your other topic http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=22574.msg187056#msg187056 don’t go through my-free-software.com.

How did you re-register if you can’t get to avast.com, it isn’t possible ?
This is a direct link to the avast registration page, see if that get through avast! 4 Home Registration.

If not check C:\Windows\Hosts someone/malware may have messed with the hosts file look for any line with avast.com in it and delete the line. The hosts file doesn’t appear to have a file extension but it is just a text file, which you can open with notepad. Let us know what you find.
