I’m trying to re-register my Avast Internet Security free version, which I have been using for many years. I got a license key on my email, put it is not possible to use it in the “Your Subscribtion” page where it says “insert activation code”. The required activation code is 3 x 6 digits, and the license key I got on email is 19 digits dash 8 digits.
The guide in the email, as well as the one on your website is useless, it is as if it refers to some other version (no such thing as a “register now” button in the right side of my menu).
Then I don’t understand why the Avast Internet Security window opens when I click the Avast symbol in my system tray? I have always only had a free Avast anti virus program, but now it’s like I got something else. Why would I get a license key, if I haven’t bought anything?
You most likely pressed on the button to try the paid version. Your trial is ending so now it’s time to either pay for that product or revert back to the Free Version.
Simply uninstalling the product will give the option to go back to the free version.
