I run Windows XP, SP3. I have been an avast user for many years. I today had a clean install of the o/s done. I downloaded Avast Home free. I have tried to register the program but cannot do so. I have to register the same within 30 days and would like to do so now.
I am thankful for some assistance from your forums with respect thereto.

If you had a previous registration with avast, then try to connect to your e-mail address within the avast program.
Read the OPs post again as what you describe isn’t the problem being experienced 'Clean OS install followed up by a clean install of avast free, so there would be no linkage on this installation with any email address, not that that has any bearing on registering.
Not to mention Asyn has given a support knowledge-base article covering registration, now we wait for more feedback from the OP.
Try and curb your enthusiasm and read the topics before jumping in with both feet.

My Computer crashed hence no reply from me. However after another clean instal of the o/s I was able to Download and register Avast.
