Registry File Still In Use :Registry Handles Leaked

When shutting down computer, it is taking quite a bit of time.
Checked in Event viewer and come across this. ( see attachments)

I am not a computer wizard, thought i wold post to see if i should be concerned or not.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Hi gertty,

Well, it goes without saying those entries should not be there. Now, the one I see that concerns me the most would be the “local machine lockdown.” That tells me you are either doing some sort of development on your machine or you possibly have some very tight security settings “somewhere.” BTW, both of these are just uneducated guesses on my part and I don’t see how that would cause Avast to be holding those registry entries either. At this point, if you are sure all of your security settings are correct, my first choice of action would be to run a full boot-time scan and see if that yields any additional insight.

Good luck to you.

Hi plsrepli

Doing no development. Have done no changes to security settings.
This has only started in the last few days.

Last night after i finished what i was doing, waited around 5 minutes and Computer shut down okay, plus there was no warnings in windows event viewer. ( will continue doing this)
I did a boot scan and came back clear

Thanks for your assistance, very much appreciated

Hi again Gertty,

Glad your boot-time scan came up clean and your last shutdown worked properly too! With that said, is there any chance you might have tried to shutdown with several IE browser windows open? The reason I’m asking is because I also see a bunch of certificates mentioned in those event viewer logs. Good luck to you.
