I had to do a recovery on my computer and need to reinstall avast. It says it downloads but I can not find it in my program files. No icon appears on my desktop. Help

Down,loading is also not the same a s Installing the program.
First you download the program to a place where you can find that downloaded file.
Next your run that file to install Avast on your computer.
