You will see from the email traffic below, that I purchased Avast! 4 Professional Edition for three (3) years. I lsrecently suffered a computer casualty that forced me to reinstall Windows XP. I also want to reinstall my Avast! program, but have been unable to re-register because I do not know what user name to use. I have the license information, but still need the proper user name to re-register. Can you help me? Is there any way I can talk with your support staff? Please advise soonest!

I followed the email below (several times) and keep getting the
following error message:
“You have entered an invalid user name or license code. Please try
again.”
I have tried several different forms of my name and/or email address as
my “user name” without success. Can someone help me with what is needed
so I can re-register the download on my PC? Any telephone number I can
call to resolve this issue?

Follow the instructions below for entering your new key into installed

1) Start Avast! program and during memory scan press the "Registration"
button. There will be Registration dialog displayed. You can also find
this dialog in Simple or Enhanced user interfaces under About program
avast! -> Activation Key
2) Enter the key. (NOTE: if you are unsure when entering number 0 or
letter O, enter rather number 0 (zero)!) The best way to enter the
license key is Cut&Paste method - select entire key in this mail, press
Ctrl-C, switch to avast! registration dialog and press Ctrl-V. Then
press OK button and your avast! is registered.
It is recommended to update your virus database via the iAVS service.
Just click on the "flash" icon in Simple user interface or "flash" icon
with iAVS description in Enhanced user interface.
