I had to do a reinstall of Avast Pro 4.8 which went smooth. However, now I see the Outlook plug-in is not working at all. In fact, it may not have been working just prior to my problem which forced the reinstall. Let’s face it, Outlook 2003 is definitely one place we want it to work. This copy is being used at home and not via an Exchange server like a work (as far as I know). My email comes in via Cox.net.
How do I get the plug-in to work with Outlook? ???
Which was your previous antivirus? How did you uninstall it?
Do you mean avast was working before and not now?
If you disable the Internet Mail provider, can you activate the Outlook plugin?
Got it figured out. Sometimes Outlook 2003 can be very confusing. Somehow I managed to deactivate the Outlook plug-in and finding the precise location to reactivate it was confusing. I finally found the correct info in the Avast Knowledge Base to locate the reactivate piece.
Sorry, I didn’t understand at first time… maybe you were looking for this…
