I want to reinstall my Windows. How can I move avast to new OS.(I have rather old installer, but i have download the latest version now and I don’t want to download it again)
You have to install it again.
You can copy your avast4.ini and avast4.db from \DATA folder, your skin folder, etc. But you’ll have to install it again.

Can I Backup corent state with all updates, then instal old version of Avast in new OS and restore it?
I have slow dual-up connection to i-net, and it’s too long to download all updates again
You could test but most probably you’ll mess your installation.
If you have the last setup.exe installer file, it won’t take that long to update the virus database.
Believe me, it will work better and probably at the first…
Doing something different could mess your installation.
