I had to reinstall my Avast4 Pro after a Windows repair (the Microsoft tech had me uninstall all my security software at one point). I’ve reinstall SP2 for XP Pro and reinstalled Avast4 Pro prior to updating my Windows.
The license Key goes only halfway and stops when I try to enter my key.

Running Windows XP,SP2; Element5 does have the purchase info correct, I did check.
By “The license Key goes only halfway and stops” are you trying to type the key in ?
If so try a copy and paste into the field rather than type. Take care not to copy any spaces at the end of the key.
Thank you for asking that question. I usually type it in with no problem. I did a copy and paste from the old email with the license on it and the key went in perfectly. Again, Thank you.
