Hi Avast Team, I just wanna know if Avast Free can block or detect, remote code execution attacks? I read some articles that a remote code can only be successful if the hacker convince the user to click on a website, is it possible that a hacker enters a legit site and use the legit website for remote code execution attacks? Thanks in Advance
All AV detect exploits, just google virustotal CVE and you find lots of examples listed
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arbitrary_code_execution
There is also a avast list but it seems they dont update the website anymore https://www.avast.com/exploit-protection.php
Ow, Thanks Sir Pondus, for the info.
Seems up to date to me.
Hmmm … Last one listed is for 2015, so no exploits have been found in 2016?
Hi Pondus, here’s what I get… (See screenshot)
strange, the last one i see is 2015-08-19CVE-2015-2502

You need to scroll down. The report apparently isn’t in date order:

As you can see from my screenshot, it’s not working for me.

Not really, as your screenshot is too small to read, but I believe you anyway.

Much better, thanks Bob. ;D
