Finding your laptop after a theft without tracking software is an difficult task that has only a minimal chance of succeeding. Having your serial number is an essential part of recovery. Contact the local authorities as soon as you realize it has been missing, and scour eBay and local pawn shops. Even then, you are essentially searching for a needle in a haystack. A better alternative may be to look into preventative tools capable of preventing the theft in the first place, as well as tracking it in the event that it is stolen. There are several tools available. Did you have a tracking device on your laptop?
The simple answer to your question is No. There aren’t any tools in avast! Premier for tracking your computer.
Unless you had some of the tools mentioned by SafeSurf on your computer, I highly doubt that you’ll be able to recover the
stolen item.
Even with those tools installed, recovery is still highly unlikely. Wiping your data is probably the best thing you can hope
to accomplish provided you had that type of software installed prior to the theft.

Yes you can control the laptop remotely through the AccessAnywhere option within avast.
But for that to happen the one who has the laptop now must be foolish enough to accept the remote control request.
It is not very likely that that will happen.
Only thing you can do is report it as stolen to the police with all details you have about it.
Make, model, serial number (could be on the invoice, or ask the vendor), perhaps even a list of installed software.
Without tracking software, your chance to get it back is about 0%.
