Removal and re-installation

I recently installled the managed client on a Windows 2000 professional P/C and have since upgraded the box to XP Professional. The avast message informed me that the version was no longer valid and I must reinstall the software. I uninstalled the existing version and remotely installed the client just as I did before. After the reboot, the avast Icon did not show up so I checked the services. The services are there but they will not start. I looks like the executables were not installed in to the progam files… directory for Avast. Any ideas?

Hmm, is this one machine only?

Try Control Panel → Add/Remove Programs → avast! Antivirus (managed) → Change/Remove → Repair.

2 boxes. - Both HP D530’s

Tried repair but received unable to process packages error - run full update. (which is what I did in the first place) ?? Pretty strange.
