Why has Malaysia removed from Avast One (old version)
First, I’m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member and I don’t use Avast One or the Avast VPN.
That said I believe that the Avast VPN is now a stand alone paid product.
As far as I’m aware it has been removed from the Avast One Free (but you don’t say what Avast One version you are using. It has also on other Avast paid programs even Avast Premium. So I don’t know if this is the reason for your experience.
Hi DavidR
First: I am a paid subscriber to Avast One (not free) and have been for several years. and on VPN from Malaysia those years.
Second: Up until the 24-Sep my VPN was through Malaysia, then on 25-Sep it changed automatically to Singapore, when checking the VPN listing, Malaysia was not on the list of countries anymore.
Any help would be appreciated - Greg/User 5354
As far as I’m aware even paid versions of Avast One, the same for paid version of Avast Premium, the VPN is no longer included. Not being an Avast One or Avast Premium user (but Avast Antivirus Free) the VPN product was recently removed from the package.
As for the limited VPN locations, only Avast could gave an answer on that. I would guess though that cost to maintain it based on the number of users would probably be a factor.
I generally don’t use a VPN only on the odd occasion and then I use a free VPN option. This has limited locations and they select the three that you are given. They can be changed but like anything free there are going to be restrictions.
