Ok, so I see lots of links for the avast 5 removal tool. Does anyone have any idea where the removal tool went for 4.x?
In addition, I need to find info on who to contact regarding subscriptions. I get automatically billed every year and I need to change that to “at will”.
The single ashclear5.exe is a combined Uninstall tool that has a selection drop-down list, that you choose which avast product it is that you want to uninstall.
I didn’t know avast had an automatic billing function, so I don’t know where you got your license through ?
Contact sales (at) avast (dot) com, but they might be as confused as me as I didn’t believe they have that option.

it might be that it was one of my other security software packages that has the auto billing funciton… entirely possible.
