What type of phone and operating system version are you using.
I don’t see it on my Android 13, Samsung Galaxy with Avast Free version 25.13.0.
I have it running in the background, the icon is on the top next to where the date is.

The first thing I would suggest is to update your Avast Mobile Security to the latest version (25.13.0).
Whilst I’m not confident that this will resolve this particular problem I can’t recall having this floating Avast Icon in any of my previous installations Avast Mobile Security.
Try going into your Android Settings > Apps > Avast Mobile Security > mine in version 25.13.0 is Appear on top (and the small icon sits ‘fixed’ next to the time. I have Notifications - allowed, Permissions - Location and Notifications - Screen time ‘Remove permissions if app is unused’ disabled. Appear on top - on (though I don’t believe this is related to your issue).
I’ve never encountered that, either (Android 12). Could it be a widget? Press and hold a blank area on your home screen. Select Widgets. Are any enabled under the Avast heading?
