Some have this idea: Demolish NTFS-rights from files! (I assume that a lot of people use NTFS). It is also a decent method for nasty spyware that cannot be killed in some other way. Remove NTFS rights, and often spyware has been killed permanently.
Any to comment?
But I know this practice is coming in more and more to evade the Windows Validation Assistant findings. 27% of Windows Commercial Computers in the Netherlands is not having a legit XP version, some use a batchtool to get rid of the notification, until MS moves it to another process or more towards the kernelโฆ I think this practice is wrong, and this should not be condoned, but what about malware, or are other methods to be preferred? What is the best way?
