After the recent AVS update glitch, I restored hundreds of false positives that I had condemned to the chest; all works well now. However, although I successfully restored all of the files, the entries are still listed in the chest - as no virus - and I would like to delete the entries without deleting the files. I am concerned that if I elect the option, not only will the entries be deleted but the restored files will be deleted.
My question is, how can I clear the “no virus . . . restored” entries in the chest without actually deleting the restored files?
The main reason they are in the chest is after restoring a file you would normally confirm it is in the original location and the program it is associated with is working, then you can delete it. This is basically a safety belt as for whatever reason if the restore failed, then if it was simultaneously deleted from the chest you could end up with no file copy.
So if you are happy that then you can delete the copy in the chest, it doesn’t delete anything other than the copy in the chest.
If you delete a file from Chest, only the files in Chest are deleted, not the original ones.
Be sure the files are clean and all of them were restored.
