This actually depends on which version of the Avast Account you’re using:
If you already have the new Avast Account, you can manually deactivate the old device and free up the seat there. The steps are in the “How can I manage the devices using my subscription?” section of this article: https://support.avast.com/en-ww/article/avast-account-faqs-new
If you’re still on the older version of Avast Account (which is probably the case as you don’t see the Devices covered tile yet), manual deactivation isn’t available. In that case, no action is needed, the old device seat should be freed automatically within a day or two after uninstalling. This is described here: https://support.avast.com/en-ww/article/transfer-subscription
If you’re currently hitting the license seat limit and can’t activate the subscription on the new device, just let me know and I can help refresh the seat usage manually.
