remove virus and lost internet connection!

Used Avast Home for a long time now, then went online to use the Kaspersky Scan just to check if I had any viruses missed by Avast. Then used Kapsersky to remove a few viruses that it found.

Now my Internet Connection has died!

I can ping 127.0.0.1.
I can’t ping my router.
I tried the WinSockXPFix.
I dropped my NIC driver and reinstalled.
I replaced my network card.
I tried my network cable feed into a laptop and the cable works fine!

Anybody have any ideas on how to fix this?

It almost sounds like you have a firewall set to block all trafic.

I assume you installed Kaspersky because the online scanner doesn’t remove malware. I believe Kaspersky Pro has a an equivalent of avast!'s Webshield, which you will need to grant internet access through your firewall.
