Hi. i don’t know if you might be able to help me. My son was playing on a game earlier (Roblox) and as the game was loading an alert popped up saying that avast had blocked the programme from opening. this is a game he has played a thousand times and this is the first time it’s ever happened. Since then the game will not launch and we are at a loss of how to rectify the problem. My son is autistic and is quiet anxious about this.
the problem seems to be this… Win32:Evo-gen [Susp]
i have googled it and i came across this removal ‘tool’ which i don’t trust.
Remove Win32:Evo-gen [Susp] by Avast (Removal Guide)
If your Avast Antivirus or Avast Internet Security has detected a Win32:Evo-gen [Susp] virus, then your computer might be infected with malware.
Win32:Evo-gen [Susp] is a generic detection used by Avast Antivirus, Avast Internet Security and other antivirus products from Avast for a file that appears to have trojan-like features or behavior.
Because this detection is generic, it means that the malicious behavior exhibited by files detected as Win32:Evo-gen [Susp] can vary from once instance of this detection to the next.
I have logged into his account on another computer and it all works good there so i need to know if this computer is infected with this thing and how to deal with it so i can calm him down. the game literally won’t load, so is something in avast stopping it (because of the above problem) or is it something else and how do i deal with it… Please help if you can. thank you
Note: You need to run the version compatibale with your system. If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them.
Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.
[*]Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
[*]Press Scan button.
[*]It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please attach it to your reply.
[*]The first time the tool is run, it makes also another log (Addition.txt). Please attach it to your reply.
thank you. what is that exactly and how will that help. i have noticed 2 other posts on the forum which talk of the problem i am having regarding a roblox update and that causing avast to go crazt resulting in 6 boxes popping up. one happened on the 19th june and the other happened today along with mine…
my son really doesnt want me to do that. this is a new computer and he is terrified something like that could destroy it as his laptop broke after installing a programme he did not recognise
but thanks for trying to help. lots of people have had this problem ive spent all afternoon on google and its a big problem with no fix apparently
