Removing Past Icons

Please refer to 1.jpg file. I had installed AntiVir and uninstalled it but it is showing up herein. How can I remove it from here?

Maybe after all, you didn’t uninstall it completely… maybe there are some leftovers left behind… or another possibility - one more Vista bug. Unfortunately there is no way of removing icons from this window, except some registry hack which I wouldn’t recommend you doing.

They offer a registry cleaning tool which may solve your problem.

Avira RegistryCleaner: Normally the Avira RegistryCleaner removes all entries that were created by AntiVir. In this way, it prepares your system for the installation of a new AntiVir version.

Thanx. It removed a few registry entries but the problem still persists.

You can remove past items from the notifications list, but it means editing the registry,so it’s not worth the risk really http://www.theeldergeek.com/notification_area.htm

After I run the Avira RegistryCleaner, I don’t know why Vista Firewall Control is flashing a lot of trafic information. I attach an example as 2.jpg. What is it? Is there anything wrong? Does it require any further setup?

  I ASSUME, perhaps incorrectly, that the "Uninstallation package
for Windows XP" will work on your Vista OS !? Might want to ask
THEIR Experts on THEIR Support Forums to hopefully get a
 definite Answer !?
