I’ve used Avast for awhile and finally purchased the Professional version this morning in hopes of getting rid of that ‘avast! Warning’ dialog in Outlook. How do I set this for some kind of ‘Quiet’ mode so I don’t have to click the ‘Delete’ button on everything it finds?
I get 100’s of prompts a day and this is getting frustration I would appreciate it if someone could tell me the magic place to disable this dialog
If you right click the Resident Task and choose properties, than check Advanced mode (on the bottom of the window).
In each provider, go to page Virus and set the automated chain of actions you want/need.
Thanks for your response, however I’m still not finding it. I’m running Avast 4.6. I have the ‘Enhanced Mode’ visible. I see the ‘Virus Information’ folder to the left nav. bar. Although, I don’t see where I can set any form of automated chain of events or ‘Provider’ headings.
Sorry, I’m sure I’m just overlooking but I’m not seeing it
You can use the ‘Virus’ page into each Task settings.
In Virus Page of Internet Mail Provider and Outlook plugin set it to:
Delete Move to Chest
or any other sequence you want.
Right click the Task (for instance, Standard Shield, choose the Virus page and configure it.
