Removing shields affecting protection?

I’ve been with avast! for ages, but i never really asked anyone from the team if this is actually true or not.

I’m specifically interested in Auto Sandbox detection capabilities if you remove Web Shield, Network Shield, Script Shield and Behavior Shield but keep the File System Shield (where Auto Sandbox is attached to it). Will Auto Sandbox exhibit the same detection capabilities or will removal of Network Shield and Behavior Shield cripple it horribly since it would then have no ability to monitor URL’s and apps behavior. Or are these shields just a visual part of the mentioned “engines” and removing them doesn’t actually remove that functionality from the Auto Sandbox itself (even though those shields are in fact not installed)?

Perhaps the better would be asking in a reserved part of the forum. Just a suggestion.

C’mon, almost a month and i didn’t get any answer? It’s not that hard is it?

Hi :), i think they won’t answer you here, better PM him. If they told you something please post as i also want to know are these shield an independent modules or just a GUI. ::slight_smile:

I’d like to hear about it as well. Has to do with interest in lightening system load.

And why wouldn’t they answer here? It’s not any kind of secret if anyone can doo it when installing avast!. The thing is, i know a lot of people who remove half of the shields, but no one really knows if that affects protection or not. So, if it does, it would be good to know. Maybe people will stop removing shields then…

Look at this:

I don’t know what is that reserved part, but if they tell you something please reply  Don’t know why they don’t want to tell this.

We continue waiting for an answer to RejZoR’s excellent question and reasons thereof.
It’s been a month now (not counting years before).
