Removing the bprotect Trojan

Hi guys, any assistance in the removal of this trojan would be very much appreciated.

Avast! didn’t pick these up in a regular scan, only on a boot scan were they detected:

JS:Bprotect-A
JS:Bprotect-C
JS:Bprotect-D
win32:Bprotect-C
win32:adware-brs

Cannot be deleted, moved to the chest etc.

I am running Windows 7 64-bit, I’m a home user on a personal computer.

Prepared to download software, post logs as required. Thanks in advance.

Attach your basic logs. (MBAM, FRST and aswMBR…!!)
Instructions: https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0

Yes, sorry I read that after my post, the logs are being prepared at the moment.

Thanks again.

You’re welcome, awaiting your logs.

Cannot be deleted, moved to the chest etc.
Where are those files located ?..... Full file path

Here’s the first log guys.

Here is a file path…

C:\Users\Jizzim\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\E50MKBIO\pack[1].7z|>bprotect.exe

This may clear it
Run TFC-cleaner. http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/files/file/187-tfc-temp-file-cleaner-by-oldtimer/

You still need to attach requested logs so essexboy can check

Ok, I’ve run the TFC Cleaner, please find attached new logs.

OK, now you’ve to wait a bit…

Sure. It’s night time here, so I’ll be back tomorrow to await further instruction.

Thanks again everyone.

Take your time, see you tomorrow.

Are you still getting the alerts ?

[*]Click on Scan.
[*]After the scan is complete click on “Clean”
[*]Confirm each time with Ok.
[*]Your computer will be rebooted automatically. A text file will open after the restart.

[*]You can find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner[S1].txt as well.

Hi guys, please find attached the AdwCleaner txt file.

In between all of this, last night I did another boot scan on Avast (prior to the above post instructions) and it was only picking up the following:

File C:\Windows\Installer\a237d01.msi|>_4E6019889D46D3B989300369D4A5E2CD|>_64117D15CDBB69512B0CE93A1FD3C180 is infected by Win32:Malware-gen

I’ll re-run the boot scan now to see if it picks anything up.

Also post the fix log from FRST.

Please find attached.

OK, now wait for Essexboy.

What problems are you experiencing at the moment ?

I’m not really experiencing any problems at the moment, I will do another bootscan though just to see if anything comes up of concern.

…and we are in the clear! ;D

Thanks guys, you are all legends and I appreciate your efforts.

I will remove my tools now and give some recommendations, but, I would like you to run for 24 hours or so and come back if you have any problems
