Removing virus

hello ppl

i got 5 viruses in my c drive and it showed in avast software.

i deleted that viruses with the help of avast so does it mean that the files i got in my c drive where virus got infected, that file also get deleted

or

only virus get deleted?

because i installed avast yesterday in my pc and from yesterday my pc getting problem like some of my files are removed from cdrive so they can operate some functions like it cannot delete any softwares or cannot copy and paste the folder etc

my pc cannot run the system like RUNDLL

it shows me that error

is that deleted by avast software?

If you told avast to delete the infected files, also infected system files were deleted.
Or did you send the infected files to chest?

no i did not sent files in chest.i not know that wat happens if i send files in chest.

i got 5 viruses amd then i simply deleted them and action was succesfull with tick mark

so does it mean that some files which are important in pc to run also get deleted with it?

i opened maintencance, then i seen ciru chest and i click on it.

then i see runudp.exe

wat is that.

it looks like that is the file which got deleted by avast when virus infected.

i want to restore it in my c drive so how can i do.

if i restore it then does the virus will again come in my pc?

I almost fear, yes… :frowning:

If a infection is dedected…
-first option should be repair (avast tries: to repair the file/to remove the virus from the file)
-second option: put files to chest (infections can do no harm there and files can be restored, if needed)
-only delete files, if you are sure they are not related to the OS! You could run into troubles…

As it already happend to you, do you have a cd/dvd of your OS for repairing?

ok thank you. i seen that link and it is associated with malware group.

so wat i do with runudp.exe which is in virus chest now.

should i delete or wat to do?

you could leave the file in the chest, there it cannot do any harm,
after some time, a fortnight or so, you can safely delete it from there,

Leave it in chest, as polonus said.
Is your system up and running again?

i cannot move to chest from maintenance–>virus chest bcoz there no option to move there.

i again scan my pc now and got 2 virus now.

can u tell me wat action should i do now?

move to chest?
repair?
delete?
do nothing?

If you need further guidance on a specific virus you would have to post more info. (like what has been dedected, which files are affected)

Check your computer for Malware with

after install click UPDATE and run quick scan, click on REMOVE SELECTED to quarantine anything found
