Removing Win32:Sirefef-PL [RTK]

Hey all, i’ve been having trouble with my computer lately, sometimes when I try to power it on, i see the windows screen and then it shuts down. I usually have to wait a bit and try again. It finally turned on today and I did an Avast boot scan.

It came back with 3 infected files:

Win32:Sirefef-PL [RTK] --move to chest
Win32: DomalQ-CV [PUP] – delete
Win32:PUP-gen [PUP] – move to chest

Please any advice on getting these removed??

Thanks in advance
Sean

EDIT: i added the logs

When i ran the malwarebytes it quarantined 200+ infected files

MBR log attached

can you attach the log that show that
Win32:Sirefef-PL [RTK] --move to chest Win32: DomalQ-CV [PUP] -- delete Win32:PUP-gen [PUP] -- move to chest
do you have detected file name and location ..... full file path

For some reason when i try to pull the log it shows nothing found. I scanned again and it found a few files, i attached that one above

C:\ProgramData\Symantec\SRTSP\quarantine\AP42780A59.tmp is infected by win32:Sirefef-PL [RTK]

C:\Users\Sean\AppData\Local\Temp\DIQ\Flashplayer_151\exes.zipl>DomaIQ.exe is infected by win32:domaIQ-CV[PUP]

C:\Users\Sean\AppData\Local\Temp\DIQ\Flashplayer_151.exes.zipl>DomaIQ10.exe is infected by Win32:PUP-gen [PUP]

C:\ProgramData\Symantec\SRTSP\quarantine\AP42780A59.tmp
have you had / or do you have Norton/Symantec installed? .... detection is inside symantec quarantine or it is leftover files from uninstall

you can only have one AV installed https://singularlabs.com/uninstallers/security-software/

the other two are in temp folders end should go when essexboy empty them

You also have McAfee installed which will need to be removed

CAUTION : This fix is only valid for this specific machine, using it on another may break your computer

: Keep Java Updated :

WARNING: Java is the #1 exploited program at this time. The Department of Homeland Security recommends that computer users disable Java
See this article

I would recommend that you completely uninstall Java unless you need it to run an important software.
In that instance I would recommend that you disable Java in your browsers until you need it for that software and then enable it. (See How to diasble Java in your web browser and How to unplug Java from the browser)

If you do need to keep Java then download JavaRa
Run the programme and select Remove Java Runtime. Uninstall all versions of Java present
Once done then run it again and select Update Java runtime > Download and install Latest version

Now that you are clean, to help protect your computer in the future I recommend that you get the following free programmes:

CryptoPrevent install this programme to lock down and prevent crypto ransome ware

Malwarebytes.

Update and run weekly to keep your system clean

Unchecky

Click on the link above to be taken to Unchecky.com
click the very large Download button.
click Save
Click Open folder
Right click on the Unchecky_setup and choose to Run as Administrator
Once open click the Install button.
Then click on Finish
Unchecky is now installed and will help you keep unwanted check boxes unchecked, this is a fire and forget programme

It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system and to keep them updated.

My pleasure
