I just renewed my Avast (for the last time) and the email with my license/key was missing. Got a new one sent. Would not work. Finally called the help desk and an agent came in remote and saw issues. Went into safemode and uninstalled old versions. rebooted. blue screen. I told her I could handle. Had to restore. Now running the free version and not my paid subscription. Yahoo won’t load. Firefox had to be re-downloaded. she tried to sell me on the $179.00 package to fix all issues. I see why now. Never had these issues. Will not use Avast again… after 5 years of loyal use. Shame.

- Download Avastclear, Rejzors uninstall tool and the appropriate Avast program edition

- Uninstall Avast by control panel [If you don’t have Avast in control Panel go to #4]
- Uninstall in safe mode using Avastclear.
- Run Rejzors Uninstall Utility in Normal Mode (removes traces avastclear doesn’t) - reboot.
- Install the version you downloaded.
- Reboot.
You can insert license file during install or after reboot. (If using paid version)
