Renewal Nags

I know that all successful businesses want constructive feedback and I’m here to offer some. All-in-all, I’m satisfied with my Avast Internet Security (v7). It started tripping up my Panda inbound files so I deleted Panda, but something should be done about all the nags. I know I can shorten the duration of the popups that take over everything while I’m trying to do daily work but this bit about subscription renewal coming, with increasing frequency and annoyance, fully 30 days before my paid service expires, is, truly, enough to make me want to look around and, maybe, try a competitor’s package for a year or two. I don’t want to renew 15 or 30 days early, even if I do get a full 12 months tacked on to present paid-up 12 months. There should be a way to reply to remind me again, maybe three days before expiration. I don’t want these endless and intrusive nags to be coming, multiple times per day, during thirty days of my fully-paid subscription “experience”.

Please knock it off or I’m leaving… >:(

Simple work around…renew and be done with it.
It ain’t that difficult. 8)

Thanks. Yeah, that’s one option. It’s just the principle of it. I like to get 12 months of unobtrusive service for 12 months of paid subscription. I notice, in your footer, you use a free edition? Maybe I should see what that does for me. :-\

The free version also gets the same update notices, like you we either put up with the notices or update, unlike your version, which should add 12 months to the license expiry the free version didn’t and you get invited to upgrade when you do renew.

So the choice is yours wait and the reminders continue or renew at that point without penalty. I believe that avast are reviewing the renewal reminders, but nothing has been given as A) what it is likely to be and B) when it is likely to be introduced if approved.

I came on here because of this issue. The pop-ups drive me nuts and, as you say, way before the renewal date. Let me know a week ahead.
