Renewal notice causes alert on system tray icon

I now have an alert on my system tray icon. When I click the icon and click Notifications, the notification is that my subscription is expiring. The only button available is Renewal Options. Clicking Renewal Options takes me to a screen that says Content Not Available.

There is no way to get rid of this notification or get rid of the alert on the System Tray icon.

The amount of ads and crap you are pushing out is unbelievable!. And now you have put something on my system tray that irritates me every time I see it.

Fix this crap!

Bit Defender looks better every day.

I have Avast Free and just Renewed that without issue.

To start with you didn’t say what Avast version you are using, so I had to assume (dangerous I know as it makes an ‘ass’ out of you and ‘me’.) you were talking about Avast Free.

With a paid version you can terminate your subscription, to ensure you don’t get an automatic renewal and payment (if you have that set-up).

As an Avast Free user (and not an Avast Team member) I can’t advise further than I have.

Since you didn’t give any images of what you see I can’t suggest an option/s other than what I already have.
